The dead tree in the distance is a subject I've used a few times and I'd been unhappy with what I'd taken that day until I starting heading home and looked back to see this scene. Five minutes later I was running like mad to get back to my car before the deluge, I got there just in time fortunately and drove home with the windscreen wipers at full speed and the headlights on.

That leaden sky and that light, shifting across the landscape. Phenomenal timing. :)

The timing of getting back to my car was the phenomenal bit, I only just made it.

Cheers :D

LOL! Too modest, mate. You sure you're from Yorkshire? ;)

Joking aside, that slate sky really makes it - 'transient light' at its finest.

You have to be satisfied because you managed one of the best pictures I've seen here. There is a third dimension feeling in it and you can take a step and enter. Such is the sharpness. Very natural colors. Congratulations!
